90 Day Business & Action Plan
Given the opportunity to serve as your Council Scout Executive will require some key short term strategies. I respectfully submit the following 90-day plan. These first three months are critical in establishing clear leadership principles, setting operational protocols, and getting to know the volunteers and community to create a unified team. My objective will be to meet the Council's immediate financial needs while insuring a quality program and service to the volunteers and youth of the Council.
Objective 1: Fiscal Management

Assess the current Council budget and cash flow needs.

Review the Friends of Scouting Campaign plan and react accordingly.

Meet with the Council Finance Committee & Key Leadership to

Review Audit and management letter recommendations and set up action plan.

Implement a strong collections plan.

Create unified plan within districts for fund development.

Assess any product sales/activity revenue and inventory status.
-
Review and track future year budget.
Objective 2: Administration & Manpower Development

Visit all Executive Committee Board Members.

Review Council Staff interim performances and review PDS goals.

Review minutes and action items of recent Board Meetings.

Evaluate Council/District Committee needs.

Meet with Nominating Committee to evaluate critical manpower needs.

Implement an action plan to address any governance or charter review recommendations.

Focus on Council communications making sure as the New Scout Executive that there is clarity, trust, and excitement.
Objective 3: Program & Property

Assess immediate JTE needs and goals.

Meet with Commissioner Staff.

Meet with Program Chairs and review upcoming events and needs.

Assess previous Camping season needs and promotions.

Review Summer Camp budget, staffing, and critical priorities.

Evaluate current NCAP status and camp ratings.

Meet with Property Committee to keep any capital needs and construction projects on track.

Attend each District Key-3 or District Committee meeting.
Objective 4: Membership Development

Evaluate current membership plans and needs for Region & National Initiatives.

Work with Charters on the new Scouts BSA Full Family of Scouting Program.

Create action plan in conjunction with Commissioner staff to increase Youth Retention.

Focus on STEM programs and alternative funding sources.

Make sure new Lion Program is running in all Packs.

Get Council on-board with Digital Registration.

Meet with all School systems and youth recreational centers to discuss collaboration.

Start alternative recruitment plans through community partnerships.
Objective 5: Community Involvement

Visit other Agency Directors.

Focus on Community Funding Sources or Impact Partnerships.

Research top CEOs in area and make personal introductions weekly.

Transfer Rotary Membership.

Relocate family to area.

Visit & Find Church to join.
