​Stuart started his career with the Boy Scouts of America at Gulf Ridge Council in Tampa, FL.  While in Tampa, he progressed quickly from District Executive to Sr. District Executive, Program Director, and Field Director.  He later served as Assistant Scout Executive in Cherokee Area Council in Chattanooga, TN covering the Chattanooga region and parts of North Georgia.  He was then selected as Scout Executive on his first interview for Shenandoah Area Council in Winchester, VA covering parts of West Virginia and the suburbs of Washington DC.

 

He has been a professional Scouter now for 23 years and has extensive experience in fundraising, leadership development, community relationships, property management and development, membership, and programs.  Over his tenure, Stuart has been selected as a Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow, has been on staff for four Wood Badge courses, was staff advisor for the original Southern Region Powder Horn Course held in Florida, has served on staff for National Jamboree, helped lead two national task force, and over seen a total of 14 resident camps across 5 camp properties.

 

Stuart takes his position as CEO very serious and enjoys the comradely of sharing business strategies with other company CEOs. His vision continues to make an impact in the lives of youth through support and encouragement to the volunteers he serves while making sure Scouting is part of the conversation at every level, including local community groups to corporate events and board rooms.
